The Sandy Cove Hotel

Beautiful hotel. First visited 20+ years ago and have been back a few times since. Love the place, feels family run and still in the same hands. Our bedroom was lovely, sea view and balcony. Only complaint was the service in the restaurant was slow. Evening service was busy so understandable and our server was apologetic, but we had to ask at breakfast to have our order taken. Some of our food could have been of better quality, ie breakfast sausages. The new spa is really lovely but you do need to book as limited spaces, also wise to book the restaurant to ensure a decent time.

My birthday surprise was so positive in each way. Your hotel is so clean, the views are stunning, ur swimming pool place is breathtaking. Food so fresh and delicious. Your cream tea were so yummy. The Seacliff Restaurant meal was worth any penny. The food and serving were 5* We already booked our 2nd stay at your hotel. Thank you for your hospitality.

My elder son had his wedding service here on November 5th. Our wedding party had the most amazing experience for the 3 days we spent in this fantastic facility. From the minute we arrived to the minute we departed everything went as smoothly as anticipated, thanks to the professionalism of all those involved. The quality of every aspect was spot on. The service at the reception was very welcoming and we appreciated that for one of the staff it was here first week in the role and she coped admirably. The food through out the days was excellent! The wedding meal was perfect, the beef was cooked to perfection and so tasty! The breakfast options were just right, providing a good range of options. The pre wedding meal was also top notch - whilst there was a range of meals served, everyone in the party commented on how much they enjoyed the meal, and from a personal perspective the salmon was delicious! The venue itself was excellent, accommodating various room requirements such as singles, couples and families. The views from the hotel overlooking the sea are stunning. It was made even more impressive when we were treated to the fireworks display at Combe Martin. Thank you all for a great time.

The hotel and spa were lovely and the views were incredible. Restaurant service was pretty shocking, staff were polite but there was no one taking a leadership role. Drinks took 20 minutes and i ended up getting them myself from the bar as they were sat there. Post meal our mains plates were sat for around half an hour before they were cleared. Food was alright but nothing special in my opinion.

We recently had our wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have wished for a more perfect venue or a better team to look after us. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond for us, nothing was ever too much trouble. Sharna, Deb, Nadine, Sammy and the entire Sandy Cove team were warm, organised, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Their communication, care, and attention to detail meant we never had to worry about a thing. We truly felt supported every step of the way. The venue itself is breathtaking. The views, the ceremony space, the atmosphere, everything felt magical. Our guests were blown away, and we’ve had so many lovely comments about how beautiful the setting was and how smoothly the day ran. The food, the service, the accommodation, and the overall experience were exceptional. We felt completely relaxed and able to enjoy every moment knowing the team had everything under control. It was a day we will never forget, and Sandy Cove played a huge part in that. Thank you for helping create the most unforgettable, joyful, and beautiful wedding day. We couldn’t recommend Sandy Cove highly enough to any couple looking for a truly special venue.

An excellent stay over New Year. The package we had included a great breakfast on each day of our stay, a 7 course tasting menu on New Year's Eve and a 3 course dinner on the days either side. On New Year's Eve the meal was held in "The Venue" location of the hotel, and also included a magician and DJ to welcome in 2026. During our stay we used the spa which was easy to book so it wasn't crowded and the pool, seats, sauna and steam room were great. We also made the walk down to the private beach. The steps down to the beach were really good, making the walk safe and as easy as a descent of this height could be! We opted for a sea view room and this had a great outlook across the bay, and the stand alone bath in the room also had a great view out of the window (photo below). Overall an excellent New Year package in a great location with really friendly staff, excellent food and superb entertainment. Thank you!

We got married at Sandy Cove in August 2025. The team at Sandy Cove were so friendly and attentive throughout the wedding planning process and on the day. The day before meeting with our wedding coordinator really helped to calm our nerves and help us to prepare for how the day would run. We also stayed in the hotel and the room was beautiful with the obviously stunning view. We opted for the Classic BBQ package which included Canapés and a Dessert table and all the food was absolutely delicious. The day itself went genuinely perfectly, there is not one thing that went wrong. The staff and our on the day coordinators ensured the day went seamlessly and we can’t thank them enough!
